OK so I officially suck at blogging! I didn’t fall off the wagon. I am still loosing weight and learning to LIVE life everyday. I can’t even start to explain how much better I feel now. I am happier now than I have been in years! When I started on this journey to lose weight I no idea how dramatically it would affect all aspects of my life.

Officially I have lost 96 pounds, but it’s really around 105. When I first stepped on the scale in January it wouldn’t give me a number. It just showed a BIG RED “E”. Apparently the scale maxed out at 335 and the “E” means “get off me fat ass”. The first time I actually saw a number it said 332, so that’s the number I started with. I am happy where I am at now, but I still have about 50 to lose. I would love to be able to get to around 190 and maintain it +- 5lbs.

When I first started running I had no clue what it would mean for me. I started because that’s what you do to lose weight….right? I started out barely able to jog for a minute, but I stuck with the couch to 5k program and worked my way up to being able to jog for 30 minutes. Now I run because I enjoy it. Last week I ran 12 miles and never felt better. My cousin and I are training to run a marathon in October! The best part of marathon training….guilt free ice cream!!!

21 pounds in a little over a month!!! A few more good months like that and I will be at my goal weight before summer is over!Still going strong with eating healthy and keeping cheat meals to a minimum. I have been running a lot more and starting to enjoy it (did I just say that!?). I am up to a long run of 4.5 miles, Trying to get 5 today. I am signed up for a 10 k on May 7. Still hitting the weights hard too. I am still struggling with squats, but I am pretty sure its due to my legs being dead from the running. Got my bench press up to 2 reps of 315.

1st Race

Ran my 1st 5k yesterday! I finished in 33:30, a little slower than I was shooting for, but there was some janky hills. I think I am running another one this weekend.

6pounds!! The smallest lost so far, but a loss is a loss. As long as its going in the right direction its progress. I was tempted to put 279 because I cheated and weight yesterday morning and weighed 279. I ate a lot of sodium yesterday and it showed on the scale today-280, but I decided to stick with what the scale said. I slacked off on my running this last week. I will write a post on that later this week. I finished c25k last Monday with a 3.1 mile run and have the official 5k this Saturday. Maxed out on the bench at 315 this week-personnel best for me.

One goal down, a whole list to go

One of my goals for this year was to run 3 miles and bench press 300 lbs. Today I was planning on running 2.5 miles, but felt good and keep going. Ended up running 3.2 miles in 35 minutes (i use the term “run” loosely). When I got to the gym I decided to go ahead try to knock out the 300 lbs bench press. I was a little tired from the run so I didn’t think I was going to do it. It went up a little easier than I expected. I probably could have got 2 reps. I was pretty excited about that. Now I am off to study till 3 am to finish the trifecta.
